Generic Ceclor is an antibiotic. These drugs help our body to fight against infections by destroying the bacteria that caused them.

Common use.

Commonly, Generic Ceclor is used for the treatment of such infections as:

The total daily dose should be 4g of cefaclor at maximum.

Precautions and warnings.

If you have diabetes please be careful while administering Generic Ceclor as it contains sugar.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: you must not administer Generic Ceclor in these periods, unless your potential benefits exceed the potential risks for your baby.

Side effects.

Among adverse reactions associated with Generic Ceclor can be highlighted the following ones:

  1. urticaria, reddening of the skin or itching
  2. headache, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea
  3. candidiasis
  4. fever
  5. joint pain
  6. insomnia, confusion and nervosity- these symptoms are experienced very rarely

Drug interaction.

It is mandatory to let your physician know about any kind of medications you are taking, have been taking recently or intend to take in the nearest future. Even though you are to take a herbal product, sometimes drug interaction leads to very dangerous consequences.

Generic Ceclor interacts with the following categories of drugs:

  1. oral anticoagulants or also known under the name of blood thinners, for example warfarin
  2. other antibiotics: tetracyclines, macrolides
  3. antacids
  4. probenecide

Missed dose.

In order to avoid missed doses, it is a very good habit to administer the medications at the same hour every day. Anyhow, if you forget to take your pills, you can take them as soon as you realize the omittance. The exception would be if it’s close time for the next scheduled dose.
